The multidisciplinary Iheris University will hold its 9th Convocation and Conferment of Doctoral Degrees on 12th November 2022. The event, the Convocation, and Conferment Ceremony will be organized at Palais des Congrès de Lomé.

The ceremonial conferment of doctoral degrees is the most prestigious academic celebration and a tradition that spans several centuries. The purpose of the conferment ceremony is to highlight the value of and respect for research, leadership, and education. It is also a unique way to celebrate achievements.

The protocol of the Conferment of Doctoral Degrees of the university is based on recognizing and integrating the traditions of the university. This is reflected in the programme of the events and in the practices related to the hat, the emblems, and the sword, this year the university will honor one of the vibrant minds whose ethos goes with that of the university. For the forthcoming momentous occasion, the university will award the United Nation’s Youth Representative: Mr. Daniel del Valle Blanco with an Honorary Doctorate Degree.

 

The title of Honorary Doctorate is the highest recognition that a university can award. Iheris University Togo has invited persons from around the world to accept honorary doctorates in recognition of excellence in fields represented at the University and other exceptional scientific, leadership, artistic, or social merits, the United Nation’s Youth Representative: Mr. Daniel del Valle Blanco is one of them. In the invitations of Honorary Doctors to the University’s convocation and doctoral conferment, the focus has also been on work conducted at the interfaces of scientific disciplines.
